Observers can use the Word Tree tab on the Explore page to search for and identify themes within the language people are using in your project.
Note: The Word Tree only works with Latin-alphabet languages.
There are two ways to select a starting word to explore in the Word Tree. First is the Word Cloud, which shows you the words that appear the most among the responses you are currently exploring. Second is the search field, which allows you to enter in a word of your choosing to use as the root word in the Tree.
1: Viewing the Tab
The following options are available in the "Word Tree" tab:
1. Filters: The "Everything" and "Add filter" drop-down menus let you filter responses by a variety of search parameters.
2. Search: Allows you to enter a specific word or phrase to use as the displayed root word in the Word Tree.
3. Word Cloud: Displays the words that appear the most frequently among the responses you are currently exploring. If you click a word, it will appear as the root word in the Word Tree.
4. Word Tree: Displays the searched for word or phrase being used in context. To explore a branch, click the word at the base of that branch. If you would like to go back, click the root word again.
5. Response Tiles: The response tiles displayed reflect the words you are exploring in the tree. If you click a response tile, you will see the applicable text highlighted within that response.
