The Open Registration feature allows you to create registration links to guide participants into the Forsta Plus Digital Diaries platform without knowing their information in advance. This eliminates the need to upload a list of recruited participants hours or days in advance of a study's launch, making it an incredible option to get to insights faster.
With Open Registration enabled, you can create unique registration links for your project with the click of a button. Once created, you can paste these links into any source. Registration links can also be uniquely named for each of your project's segments, so you can easily track your participant traffic across all the sources you have added.
When participants access an Open Registration link, they will be prompted to add their name, email address, profile/avatar image, time zone, notification preferences, and password, before accepting the project's terms and moving directly into the project in Forsta Plus Digital Diaries.
1: Creating Open Registration Links
To create open registration links, click "Project Settings" under "Settings" in the navigation menu.
If your project has the Open Registration feature enabled, a “Registration Links” option appears for each segment under the “Manage” column. See Creating Segments to learn how to create additional segments.
Select Registration Links to customize the names and URLs of the registration links for that segment.
By default, each URL is set to “active”. You can toggle “active” off for any link to disable that link.
The following special rules apply when adding or editing segments in projects with Open Registration links:
- If your project contains multiple segments, you must create at least one link for each segment where participants can self-sign up.
- Registration links require a name to create.
- Once created, registration links default to being "active”. This means that once you create and share the link, participants can begin to register for the project.
- To share a link with other users, click anywhere in the "url" text box and copy the link text. It can then be pasted to any source you wish.
- Participants who access an active link will be directed to register for the project. They will be asked to add their name, email address, password, time zone, and notification preference, and must agree to the project’s terms before gaining access. See Registration to learn what the participant will see.
- To close a registration link, toggle “active” to off. Anyone who access the URL will be notified that registration is now closed.
1.1: Tracking Multiple Sources
You can track which link a participant used to sign up by using the Source column on the Participants page. If you are using multiple sources, create a separate link for each source you want to track.
