When there is a video or audio question in an activity, participants have two ways to add a video or audio recording via the web interface:
Upload the video / audio file(s) from their computer.
-
Record the video / audio using the web browser.
1: Recording Videos
When participants open an activity that contains a Request Video collector, they will see a drop-down menu for the Add Video button. Participants will have two options:
Upload the video file(s) from their computer.
Record the video via the web browser.
-
When participants click the Record video option, they will be prompted to allow the browser to use their camera and microphone devices.
-
Once the participant selects Allow, the participant will see a preview of their camera feed. If something looks wrong, participants can change the device being used for the video recording.

When the participant is ready to begin recording, click Start Recording.
-
Once recording has started, participants will see the Recording in progress label and the video window will be outlined with red color. In addition, a countdown timer will display the remaining time for the recording.
Note: Individual video recordings are limited to 10 minutes.
-
When a recording is in progress, participants can Pause or Stop the recording, using the respective buttons below the video window.
When a participant selects Pause, video and audio temporarily stops recording until the participant selects Resume.
When the participant is finished recording, press Stop to prepare the video for submission.
Once the recording has stopped, participants can review the recording and decide if they want to upload it for the question or discard it and record another one.
